CFE v. State of New York – Public School System Funding
Billions of dollars must be returned to our public schools. The non-profit Campaign for Fiscal Equity (CFE) won the landmark “CFE v. State of New York” lawsuit, successfully arguing that New York City public schools had been systematically under-funded, denying students their constitutional right to a sound basic education. Money is still owed to NYC students and the Public Advocate must ensure that it is paid in full.
